I had the pleasure of meeting the Gill family on their blueberry farm on Victoria Day! This was an incredibly special session as we had four generations present. Great Grandma (Gigi to the kids) is in her 90s! It was beautiful to watch her interact with her great grandchildren – she completely brightened when they were around, and they were the only ones who successfully got her smiling!
One of the reasons I absolutely love being a family photographer in the Fraser Valley is getting to see our gorgeous farmland. The Gill family farm is absolutely breathtaking, with the mountains in the background and a big, beautiful willow tree in their yard (I'm such a sucker for a willow). It was the perfect backdrop to capture some memories for their family. It's so touching to see 4 generations all in one place, and it's certainly not lost on me how rare and special that is. I so wish my grandparents had still been here to meet my babies, so I have such a soft spot for photographing little ones and their grandparents, great grandparents, and even great great grandparents.
I'm so grateful to the Gill family for welcoming me to their home and for having so much fun with their family session! They are an absolutely beautiful family and it was so lovely to photograph them.
