I'm so excited to be offering Apple Picking mini sessions this year at the beautiful Willow View Farms. Willow View is a nostalgic place for me, because I grew up going there to pick out a pumpkin every single fall. It's a cute little family-run business, and while they don't have a pumpkin patch anymore, they offer u-pick apples, animals (including the cutest baby goats!), photo ops galore, and tasty treats in their store. The apple cider slushies are absolutely incredible. So far this season I've been lucky enough to photograph a maternity session there, as well as a mother/son session. I love how they both turned out!
I also love doing shoots where there's an activity involved. I think it takes everyone out of their heads and makes them less concerned about posing or smiling perfectly for the camera. It allows me to document more authentic, genuine moments of connection, especially with little kids! They get to be silly and engage in a fun activity, and I get to capture them in their element. Some of my absolute favourite family photography moments that I've ever captured have been moments of silliness or play, where everyone is playing and making memories together.
