FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

It varies based on the length of your session, however you should know that I have no self control and I tend to over-deliver when it comes to the number of images you'll receive. Mini sessions get a minimum of 25 fully edited images, while full sessions receive 50+.

How should we dress for our family session?

Go neutral! Avoid loud or clashing patterns, overly casual clothing (sorry guys, that includes your baseball caps!), or anything you don't feel comfortable in. If you can, try to coordinate a colour palette for your group so that everyone looks nice beside each other (no need to go full matchy-matchy though!). If you'd like further guidance or feedback on your outfit plans, feel free to reach out and I'll do my best to help you out!

What's the best time of day for a session?

I generally prefer morning or evening as the light is generally the most beautiful and flattering at those times. Ideally we'll shoot within a few hours of sunrise/sunset.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

Of course! Nobody is expecting you to show up as professional models. My job is to guide you as I capture your authentic story. I generally try to avoid overly posed photos, but I will offer you prompts and feedback to make sure that you love your photos and you feel confident and amazing in them. The best approach is to goof around/play/snuggle etc. just like you normally would.

How many people can you accommodate in a session?

Realistically I can work with any number - if you want to do an extended family session, we can make that happen! But ideally smaller groups is ideal (immediate family, family plus grandparents, etc.) just so that we can make sure that we're really getting authentic interactions between all of our participants.

What happens if we wake up on shoot day and we're sick, or the weather is awful?

Not to worry, if something comes up I am more than happy to reschedule for you. If you're not into getting rained on during a session, we will wait for a nice day!
I do ask that you please contact me to reschedule if anyone in your family is experiencing symptoms of illness or has recently been in contact with someone who is sick. Someone I love is immunocompromised and I'm doing my best to keep them healthy and safe. Thank you so much for understanding! :)
